Biosecurity for Animal Producers
Enhanced biosecurity to protect animals, employees, and facilities.
Enhance Farm Biosecurity With JBI
Biosecurity is a critical component to protecting our food-supply-chain.
It all starts with the decisions and protocols that animal producers put into place to safeguard from infectious diseases and pests.
Another driving factor for enhanced biosecurity is the market’s demand for protein meats which are raised without antibiotics. Thus, new strategies and measures are having to be adopted to keep facilities pathogen-free.
JBI Distributors works with the top poultry and swine producers across the United States to improve overall biosecurity measures. JBI is a provider of superior disinfectant solutions which are low in corrosivity and low in toxicity to better protect your animals, your employees, and the lifespan of your facilities and equipment.

Professional Disinfectant Services
Disinfecting your facilities between animal rotations is a very important biosecurity procedure.
Consider outsourcing this critical task to professionals. JBI offers disinfectant services for poultry and swine producers across the country. We have successfully eliminated pesky disease-causing pathogens from farms like Salmonella, E. coli, PRRS, PED, Avian influenza Virus, and more.
After the first JBI disinfectant treatment, producers have reported significant reductions in disease counts and overall mortality rates. This is a win-win for animal welfare and producers alike.
JBI only utilizes EPA certified disinfectants which have a low-corrosivity and a low-toxicity rating. This is to enhance overall animal welfare, the longevity of equipment and structures, and to provide a better working environment for farm employees compared to traditional industry methods.

Common Farm Disinfectant Questions
What makes D7 different from other products?
There are countless sanitizers for the food and biosecurity industry, and all of them must meet minimum requirements. However, D7 stands out from the others because of its patented chemical solution that kills bacteria down to the DNA level. Unlike other types of disinfectants and sanitizers, D7 chemically cleaves the spore wall and then neutralizes the mycotoxin inside. It also changes the osmotic pressure around the cell, which causes an imbalance in the internal cellular pressure, resulting in the total collapse of the cellular membrane. Because of this unique feature, D7 also has the power to destroy the formation of biofilms.
What microorganisms does D7 kill?
D7 is a broad-spectrum disinfectant that is efficacious against Aspergillus niger, Avian Influenza A [(H3N2)] Reassortant Virus, Avian Influenza A [(H5N1)] Virus, Avian Influenza A [(H7N9)] Virus, Norovirus, porcine epidemic diarrhea virus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella enterica, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus aureus biofilm, and T. interdigitale. D7 is also a food contact surface sanitizer that is efficacious against Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus.
When should D7 be used?
D7 is effective for eliminating common bacteria such as E. coli, salmonella, and listeria. As such, it can be used to sanitize and disinfect equipment and facilities after an outbreak has been discovered. Using D7 as part of a regular maintenance schedule can help prevent outbreaks from occurring in the first place. Taking this type of proactive measure can increase the cost of operations, but ultimately helps protect the company from the risks and costs associated with handling an outbreak after it occurs.
At what stage in the animal cycle is D7 applied?
Poultry
D7 is applied after de-caking or windrow. It is the last step before introducing new birds into a house.
Swine
D7 is applied during the swine rotation phase. The barn is to be cleaned prior to disinfection for best results.
How is D7 applied?
Poultry
D7 can be foamed or misted over litter or bare pad for total clean-out of poultry houses. Ask about our JBI Poultry Foaming Trailer for increased productivity & cost savings!
Swine
Applying D7 as a foam within a barn provides the best coverage as it clings to walls and vertical surfaces, which increases the overall dwell time and pathogenic kill rate. Pens, slates, chutes, and common areas inside barns are all to be disinfected.
Is D7 safe to use with my animals?
Yes, D7 is safe to use in facilities which house animals. Disinfection does not occur when animals are present; only between rotation phases.
How soon will I notice improvements?
Poultry
Broiler reports from our customers have shown an increase in 7/14-day livability rates after the first application.
